OC Public Libraries Events Calendar
Find storytimes and other children's events at a public library near you!
(If you live in or around Orange County, CA)

Starfall.com's Alphabet Worksheets
I also give out these printing practice worksheets. They include pictures of things beginning with each letter, and give kids the opportunity to trace and then print the letters themselves.

The Best Kids' Book Site!
The self-proclaimed thebestkidsbooksite.com is a great resource. It is one of the tools I use on a regular basis, not only for alphabet storytime ideas, but also for any other theme I might be doing. Includes book lists, songs and craft ideas for just about any theme you can think of!

Preschool Express
I use this mostly for finding songs (thank you, Jean Warren!), but the site also includes online stories, craft ideas and other preschool-friendly activities.

Songs 4 Tots
This web page from the Charles County Public Library has a LOT of songs, separated by theme. A great resource!

Kids' Soup
This is a members-only site that I broke down and bought a membership for (a little under $30 a year). They have some really great worksheets, craft templates & ideas, printable mini-books, games, etc, etc, etc.
If you are willing to splurge (or you can get your FOL to buy you a membership), I highly recommend!

Preschool Storytime Theme Handbook
This downloadable .pdf handbook from the Whatcom County Library System has tons of themes, and it has given me some new ideas for preschool storytimes. They also have a Preschool Storytime Handbook, with general storytime procedures and tips and such.

Jbrary
Storytime Source Page Blog
Storytime Katie
Abby the Librarian
These are other storytime blogs that I've found helpful in the past. All of these bloggers have done a truly impressive job (much much better than me)--check them out if you don't already worship them!

The Toymaker
This site doesn't really have anything to do with storytimes, but it has the most wonderful and enchanting printable paper toys, cards & boxes. Just click on "Free Toys" link at the top of the page--so much fun!
